Mundugod Church Building

ANOTHER CHURCH BUILDING COMPLETED AND DEDICATED !!!  A story of faithful partners and God’s miracles.

The believers of Mundugod, Karnataka, India no longer have to worship secretly in fear.  Their new church was completed and dedicated in July 2016.  In that state, like many others in India, the law prohibits religious worship in homes or other buildings not registered as churches.  When word gets out that they are worshiping together, even in the smallest of groups, they are persecuted and often beaten and arrested.

Completing The Call Ministries along with its Indian partner Karnataka Gospel Mission and the Mundugod believers will be forever grateful to our two partners, the late Joseph Moretti, together with his ministry partners Boxley Boggs and Bill Lyons, and Kennesaw First Baptist Church, Kennesaw, GA for providing the funds for materials for the church building.  The site was donated by one of the believers and the labor was provided by the local believers themselves.  Because we didn’t have to buy the land in Mundugod, we were able to acquire a site for yet another church in the town of N.R. Puram which is also in Karnataka.

To add to the excitement, the building will also be used as a tailoring institute operated by the pastor’s wife.  When fully operational this will provide support for the pastor, his family and church. And, perhaps more importantly, the institute will provide a wonderful outreach and discipleship tool as each training class will include bible study and prayer.

Another way the Holy Spirit has been at work in this endeavor is through the city officials who are all Hindu.  For years they have worked hard to stifle the church which had been meeting quietly in homes.  They turned their backs when radical Hindus attacked and beat believers.  However, with the construction of this building and the announcement of its use as a tailoring institute, they have done a complete about face.  They are now wholeheartedly supporting the church!  Bobby George tells me that he, the Mundugod pastor and church leaders now have a great relationship with them.  And, these same officials not only came and participated in the dedication but were instrumental in bringing other Hindu villagers.  If that were not exciting enough, two of them each personally donated a sewing machine!
