CHALLENGED BY A 14 YEAR OLD !!
When Matthew Shattuck, age 14, heard Rekha George share about our Good Samaritans Children’s Home he felt the Lord telling him to help and get involved. Unlike most of us he didn’t hesitate or ponder. He got up without a word, went to his room, got his jar of savings, came back and presented Rekha with $122 to buy a ping pong table for the children! And, that’s not all, he informed Rekha and his parents that he wanted to go to India for his summer vacation to help at the home in whatever way he could!
This raises a question and a challenge for each of us.
The questions: “How did I respond the last time I heard the Lord’s still small voice asking me to do something.”
The challenge: “Are my ears and my heart open to hear the Lord and respond like Matthew?”
Imagine what the church universal could achieve if most believers followed Matthew’s example!
