Third homeless man taken off the streets by Bobby & his men.
The first two men were taken in by Bobby, taken care of and discipled. They both accepted Jesus and went on to begin significant ministries with Karnataka Gospel Mission. Both continue to be key leaders and church planters! Will this happen to the this latest homeless man? Will there be a threepeat?
Bobby found the first man, a homeless drunkard, early in his ministry. He took him home, fed him, ministered to him, shared the gospel with him, and discipled him. As a result that man committed his life to Jesus and became a church planter starting churches in five villages! In addition to pastoring his own church and maintaining a boy’s home along with his wife, he now has a ministry recording gospel sermons which are aired on TV.
That pastor later found the second man on the street. He picked him up and, not having a place of his own for the man, took him to Bobby where he and Bobby began ministering to him. This man had almost no education and could not read or write. Bobby led him to the Lord, taught him to read & write and discipled him. Rekha, Bobby’s wife, introduced him to a wonderful Christian lady who he married shortly thereafter. The couple became houseparents at our Good Samaritan Children’s Home on the property with Bobby & Rekha’s home in Byndoor. Then, after a few years, they were called to plant a church in his hometown where there were no churches and no believers, some seven hours by car from Bobby & Rekha. They left with an 18 month old little girl, an aging and sick mother-in-law, no money, no personal transportation, and no support! He began walking thru the neighborhood sharing the gospel. Within a year he had started a church that met under a tree. He then started five more churches in surrounding villages. Just recently God provided funds for him to build a church in a central location where all the believers from these villages could meet together.
Now for the story of this third homeless man:
Manju, one of the young pastors who recently joined KGM had a childhood friend named Nanthesh with whom he had long since lost contact. Nanthesh has two younger sisters who became his responsibility when both their parents died quite a few years back. Under the financial and emotional stress trying to provide for his sisters and himself, Nanthesh was forced into becoming a homeless street beggar. His situation deteriorated quickly.
In God’s mercy and providence, Manju ‘just happened’ to spot him in the street recently. Manju took him straight to a nearby restaurant to give him a hot meal. He and Bobby then took him in, gave him food and a bath, and have provided him a corner in one of the rooms of the church building where he can live until they can help him get back on his feet.
Please join us in thanking God for reconnecting Nanthesh with brother Manju and the opportunity to minister to him. Please pray with us also for his complete mental and emotional recovery, his salvation, and that the Lord would use him mightily in ministry like he has with these other two men.
