TIPS

TIPS about using our site

The site has been designed to:

Provide a great deal of information ... without being overwhelming (click on this bar)

…. provide a great deal of information and news  – both informative and educational.  It is designed to not only help you understand who we are and what we do, but also to keep you abreast of what’s happening on the mission field, to make you aware of opportunities, and to provide training tools and resources for our partners.

…. without being overwhelmingit is designed so you don’t have to wade through those things that you are not ready to read or just not interested in. We want you to be able to read as much as you want, or as little as you want, when you want – so you can get to ‘your bottom line’ as quickly and easily as possible.  Our objective is to capture your personal interest (based on your spiritual gifts, talents and resources)  and take you to the opportunities that best fit your giftedness as quickly as possible.

We accomplish this by utilizing what we call “read mores”, “hover overs” and links.

All text in bright blue is either:

  • a link to another page and sometimes to an outside resource web site – you can elect to read or bypass for now
  • a “read more” which allows you to read paragraphs or skip over them. Typically this is used with  lists of topics.
  • a “hover over” that provides a definition, source, etc.  Just leave your mouse pointer over the text and a pop-up note will appear in about two seconds.  Here’s an example.

If you’re having a hard time finding something you read before, you should be able to find it quickly using the site map.  Or you can use use our search function (magnifying glass icon) to search the site for key words.

If you have a specific question, there’s a good chance you’ll find the answer in our FAQs.  If you don’t find the answer send us your question click here.  We’ll get right back with our answer and add it to our FAQ’s.

Like any other specialty field of endeavor mission work has its own set of unique words and phrases. If you run across unfamiliar terminology  there’s a good chance you’ll find its definition on our Glossary of Terms. If it’s not there let us know click here.  We’ll let you know and add it to our definitions page.
