Hebri boys’ home renovation and expansion

Hebri boys’ home addition required by Children’s Welfare Council with short notice and under threat of closure

The government of the state of Karnataka, like the Indian federal government, is currently in the hands of the anti-Christian party.  And, they are not fond of Christian children’s homes.  They use the CWC (Children’s Welfare Council) to bully and threaten us.

So, they have hit both our children’s homes with notice of requirement for additional facilities, giving us only extremely short notice, and threatening to close us if work was started immediately and finished quickly.  They knew we had very limited resources and had hoped we couldn’t meet their demands and timetable so they could close the homes.  This despite the fact their field inspectors have always given both homes (Good Samaritan Children’s Home in Byndoor and Good News to the Poor children’s home in Hebri) highest marks on the routine inspection reports. What they didn’t know was that we had the Lord of the Universe, who has unlimited resources and operates the clock, on our side!

The Lord has provided miraculously all that was needed for both homes!

In Hebri the home is run by Pastor M.S. Joy, his wife Molly and their two sons Joshua and Moses (killer names for two young Christain men who are living up to the legacy of their namesakes).

Pastor Joy used the money he recently received from the sale of his old family home which “just happened” to sell at this time. AND, he, Joshua and Moses with only the help of a couple of other men have built the building with their own hands.

This is so typical of our KGM pastors and their families – being so willing to give of all their resources and time to get the Lord’s work done!  What an inspiration!  What a high bar they set for us!

Please joining us in praising the Lord for these men and women, for His timely provisions, and for His unending love of the 660 unreached people groups in Karnataka.
